Sugar and Bioenergy Mills
Description
Importance of steam preservation in the Mills
This segment is one of the largest consumers of steam, which is used in the production processes and for energy generation. The sugar cane bagasse is used as fuel to generate steam and its thermal energy can be converted to electricity.
Once some actions on the steam system loop are taken, it is expected a decrease in the energy consumption.
These actions are: generation and use of superheated steam, increase in the efficiency of the turbine and boiler, reduction in the steam consumption throughout the process and condensate recovery.
